Kansas Museums Association
The Kansas Museums Association promotes museums across the state and provides resources for the museum community. In addition, KMA offers professional development opportunities; gives recognition in the form of scholarships, grants and awards at their annual conference; and collaborates with organizations nationwide to advocate for the importance of museums.
KMA came to us to make website updates that were important for them to continue their mission of serving as a vital resource for Kansas museums. The changes included creating a more integrated site that better highlights their services, members, resources, news, events and grants. We were happy to help create a more modern, streamlined website that serves as an informational hub and helps promote museums in Kansas.
Website Design and Development
We worked with KMA to discuss what they would like to see in a new website, develop functionality specifications, establish page elements and create a content plan.
Essential aspects of the project involved adding a member directory and a section highlighting events, like the KMA Annual Conference. We also created a password-protected area for members to access important information such as networking opportunities and special resources.
The site theme was developed with a responsive mobile design that easily adapts to a variety of different screens and devices. We also trained KMS on the content management system (CMS) to give them full control to edit and contribute content on the site moving forward.
Upon completion of the project, our team attended the KMA Annual Conference to present the new website to its members and event attendees.
