Be Able is a nonprofit organization in Manhattan dedicated to connecting with and helping community members who are experiencing adversity. From creating networking opportunities to fine-tuning skills, Be Able works with individuals to break the poverty cycle.

NBCG worked with Be Able on two video projects to help promote the organization. The first project involved producing six videos for the Be Able Impact Series. These videos tell the stories of community members who received assistance from the organization.

For the second project, NBCG created a video for Be Able to show potential donors how the organization impacts the community and what differentiates it from other social service groups in the area.

Impact Video Series

As part of the process, NBCG developed interview questions, recorded interviews, and edited and produced the footage with music and graphics. Videos were filmed on a simple, in-house set with community members selected by Be Able.

Overview Video

Be Able approached NBCG with the idea of creating a video to tell their story, with an overall goal of raising donations for the organization. NBCG collaborated with Be Able’s leadership team to develop a script. We focused on the question, “Whose responsibility is it to help our neighbors?” as the driving force of the video.

In the video, we featured four Be Able community volunteers who shared how Be Able has answered the call to help their neighbors, as well as how the work has affected them personally.

For the final product, NBCG edited together interviews and B-roll of the volunteers, stills provided by Be Able, narration, and graphics to create one cohesive video for Be Able to share with community members and potential stakeholders.
