Visit Manhattan
NBCG worked with Visit Manhattan and Bridget Everett to create a video to attract fans, visitors and residents to visit the real businesses and attractions featured on the hit show, Somebody Somewhere.
The video features Bridget visiting and discussing some of her favorite spots in Manhattan, including a handful featured on the show.
Video Production
In collaboration with Visit Manhattan and Bridget, we selected locations for filming, coordinated filming schedules and developed scripts.
We partnered with local businesses and organizations featured in Somebody Somewhere and captured footage of their establishments and customers. We worked with Manhatchet, Manhattan Brewing Company, K-State’s Call Hall Dairy Bar, and The Chef Café to film dialogue scenes with Bridget.
In the video, we included short clips from the show to accompany the stories about each location. We collaborated with team members from HBO to obtain the footage.
Comedic tones and upbeat music were designed to stay true to the show’s lighthearted nature. The motion graphics and color palette were also styled to match the show.
Metrics
We recommended that Visit Manhattan create a landing page on its website for the campaign to serve as a tracking metric. The landing page includes the video, links with more information on the hot spots featured in the video and exclusive photos from filming. You can check it out here.
