New Boston was hired by the State Library of Kansas (SLK) to develop a strategy to reach citizens who were unaware of its available online resources. NBCG created a campaign to increase the number of visitors to the SLK website, grow the number of eCard holders and increase the use of SLK resources. The campaign focused on reaching Kansans in more rural parts of the state.

Across all digital platforms, we reached over 140,000 people and earned over 2,000,000 impressions. State Library staff feel the campaign contributed to an increase in their eCard signups and resource usage.

Social Media and Video

The NBCG team created two animated, 30-second videos and static ads, customized for the two target audiences: the general adult population and caregivers for children or older adults. We developed a campaign that consisted of the videos and ads that ran on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and cable TV placements through Prime Media.

Website

As part of the project, we wrote website copy for a new landing page on the SLK website and collaborated with SLK staff to ensure all key points were hit. We used the landing page to help track engagement with the campaign.

PRINT COLLATERAL

NBCG created a downloadable poster and flyer for libraries to display in order to further increase awareness and name recognition of the State Library and its resources. These materials included a call to action to ask the local librarian for more information about SLK resources and to sign up for the eCard.
