New Boston Creative Group, LLC, seeks highly intelligent, self-motivated, willing-to-learn-anything web developer. Geeks welcome (VERY welcome). Full or part time.

Gird your loins and plunge into the job description below…if you dare. Then take another look at NBCG’s site, and our clients, and ask yourself, “Am I smart enough, techy enough, tolerant enough of creative types to hang with these guys?” If you answered “yes” (or even “maybe”), then please read on!

  • Dogged attention to detail and ability to learn new things
  • Good communication skills and a friendly, approachable attitude
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate well with clients and colleagues and meet production deadlines
  • Experience designing and building websites that utilize standards-compliant HTML, CSS, PHP and JavaScript in a LAMP stack environment
  • Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred, but not required. (We’d even consider a master’s or Ph.D., if you’re burdened with one of those.)
  • Valid driver’s license and non-smoker

Bonus skills:

  • Experience with CSS preprocessors (LESS/SASS)
  • Comfort with version control tools (GIT)
  • Familiarity with front-end development frameworks (Twitter Bootstrap)
  • Comfort with content management systems (Drupal, Weebly, Wix, etc.) and their operation
  • Familiarity with cutting-edge, front-end development practices and technology (CSS3, media queries, responsive web design, HTML5, etc.)
  • Experience with other technologies (Vue.js, Node.js, Angular, React, etc.)

(Still with us? Still interested? Still think you’ve got the chops? Read on, my friend, read on…)

Job duties will include:

  • Designing and developing Drupal or other CMS-based websites
  • Working closely with principals, project managers, designers, writers, and clients
  • Doing whatever else we may throw at you…but it probably won’t hurt, if you’re a good catcher

Benefits include:

  • Excellent pay
  • Paid time off
  • Health insurance (if eligible based on number of hours worked)
  • Flexible schedule
  • Awesome, supportive work environment
  • Retirement plan
  • Paid holidays
  • A whole lot of appreciation
  • Occasional Beer Fridays
  • Complete lack of boredom
  • Respect and admiration from every corner of the kingdom
  • Smart, nice colleagues with high standards, a decent (or indecent, depending on your point of view) sense of humor, and utter commitment to client satisfaction.
